Cave of Forgotten Dreams, Werner Herzog's latest documentary of the hidden caves discovered in France, was shot with a revolutionary camera in 3D. We wanted to play off of the visual nature of the film, the fact it had never been seen before, and that it was shot in 3D. Sight and eyes, combined with the interplay of light and cave openings seemed to make sense. Unfortunately, the producers and filmmaker didn't feel as though this solution fit the film.
